At the Shovel, we offer spectacular views, unique boutique style rooms in a clean, comfortable, friendly atmosphere. We offer a variety of accommodation styles to fit your needs, whether you are travelling, visiting as a tourist or need longer term arrangements. Several of our rooms come equipped with Jacuzzi tubs with high-pressure massaging jets to soothe away your sore muscles.

If you are planning a special event that requires group arrangements please give us a call, we are more than happy to work with your requirements.

All of our rooms offer wireless internet access, cable TV, in-room coffee and tea, free local calling and air conditioning. Arriving late? Our Pub kitchen and our Wine and Beer store are open until 10 PM for your convenience.

The Shovel Pub

Our pub is one of the oldest in British Columbia and could very well be the last official saloon remaining from the Gold Rush days. Combined with a fun group of locals and staff, great food and your favourite beverage, The Shovel always provides a unique atmosphere that you just can’t find anywhere else in Canada.

We offer daily soup and food specials to complement our great menu selection, which is available from our kitchen from 11 AM to 10 PM every day of the week.

Come and enjoy the summer weather on one of the few patios in Rossland, watch the game on any of our Big Screen TV’s, play some pool, test your skill at Neglin or just hang with friends! The Flying Steamshovel is the place to be!

Wine and Beer Store

Located at 1938 Columbia Ave, Rossland Fine Wine and Spirits is the place to go for your favourite local and international brands of wine, spirits and beer, hand-picked for your enjoyment.

The store is open daily from 9am to 11pm (This means we’re open before the liquor store and much later than the liquor store).
