The recently completed Seven Summits Trail has quickly gained fame as one of the top ten biking trails in the World. The majority of the trail traverses interconnected ridges between seven distinct summits allowing stunning views of the Monashee Mountains’ high alpine fauna and flora.

Rossland has a dozen golf courses within an easy drive’s distance. In town we have the new Redstone Resort, a uniquely challenging 18 hole mountain course built as an addition to the original historic 9 hole Rossland course. Down the hill, just outside of Trail, you’ll find the 18 hole BirchBank course.

Not far from the Shovel meanders the mighty Columbia River, home to one of the last natural rainbow trout river fisheries in North America. Most fish average in the 2 to 3 pound range with some monsters tipping the scales between 20 to 25 pounds.
